Anne Louise

History:
She comes from an affluent family in the Hoenn region, and somehow managed balancing the high class life style and her need for adventure. From an early age, mechanics intrigued her, and she tinkered with bike after bike. With encouragement from her older brother, she soon moved onto cars, and her favorite: motorcycles. It wouldn't be long before she had a motorcycle of her own.

While rare pokemon had always been a common sight in her parents' mansion, as her mother raises show pokemon and has good relations with many famous breeders, Anne Louise met her first partner in the wild. A fateful encounter with a Kecleon started her journey, and she bid farewell to her hometown to try and fill her roster with cute and colorful monsters. Her motorcycle allows her to return home often, however.

She's still in the process of exploring Hoenn, though she's set foot in Sinnoh once or twice. Her motivation for visiting is the booming contest scene, which she just started to look into, but quickly became obsessed.

She battles if she must, but she prefers traveling and exploring. In her adventures around Hoenn, she met a certain battle inclined girl who drew her more into the sport, but their relationship was short-lived, albeit fiery.

Personality:
Anne Louise is friendly, curious girl who is generally nice to everyone she meets. However, her fuse is short when it comes to things that truly offend her. She can't stand those who don't work hard for their victories, and don't appreciate their pokemon for who they are. Many misjudge her as naive, and are surprised by her sharp intellect and quick thinking. While over-excitable and optimistic, she is also a bit overconfident, an unexpected loss frustrating her to no end.

Anne Louise can't bear to store pokemon in the computer. This has lead to her family pond filling up with magikarp, all captured in her attempt to catch a carvanha. She doesn't favor any specific type, but she adores reptilian and amphibian pokemon. A grumpy face is sure to win her over, too. While she doesn't mind if her pokemon evolve, she doesn't want to force it. She'd prefer to keep all her pokemon at appropriate cuddle-size, however.

While friendly, Anne Louise isn't very good at making human friends. She has a habit of forgetting to ask for names, then forgetting them once she knows them. Pokemon are another story, as she makes friends with every one she meets. As such, her own Pokemon see her first as a friend and second as a master. This leads to a fair deal of disobedience.

One day Anne Louise dreams to have a ranch of her very own, to fill with an infinite amount of pokemon. She'd also like a girlfriend. She's a huge fan of romance, namely involving the natural beauty of the world. In her travels, she's found many secret spots and lamented the missing presence of a girl to woo. Her pokemon just aren't that impressed.

Pokemon:
• Denton the Kecleon
Quirky nature, male. Anne Louise's first pokemon, stumbled upon literally by her brother. Denton is smart, and a tad bit unconventional. He's likely to come up with strategies on his own, much to Anne Louise's confusion. Denton is enthusiastic about all of his endeavors, and even tries to be flashy in normal battle. Rumor is he's trying to start a comedy duo with Hamlet. He wears a purple and yellow striped scarf.
Ability: Color Change
Battle Style: Denton knows he's smarter than Anne Louise, so he often ignores his orders and comes up with his own. He'll take a hit if it'll put him at an advantage.
Moves include (but are not limited to): Shadow ball, Metronome, Rain Dance, Faint Attack, Psybeam, Solar Beam, Nasty Plot, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Aqua Tail, Trick Room, Psych Up, Thunderbolt

• Hamlet the Nidorino
Relaxed nature, male. Hamlet is lazy, the most simple-minded of all her pokemon. Losses don't get him down, but victories don't inspire him either. Anne Louise obtained him as a gift, a specially bred show pokemon, so his main talent is looking pretty, though his favorite activity is lounging. When Denton asks about their comedy duo, he tells him "eh, later." He has large purple spots on his side and legs, as well as a large spot around his left eye.
Ability: Poison Point
Battle Style: He doesn't like battling, as he would rather sleep or eat. He can be persuaded with treats, but still might fall asleep unannounced.
Moves include (but are not limited to): Attract, Flatter, Mimic, Rest, Swagger, Captivate, Water Pulse, Shock Wave, Double Kick, Sleep Talk, Horn Attack, Sucker Punch, Counter

• Betty the Croagunk
Lonely nature, female. Betty is insecure and cautious, especially around new people and pokemon. Of the team, she only feels comfortable around Lady and Denton, but everyone likes him. Her favorite location is Anne Louise's lap.
Ability: Anticipation
Battle Style: Betty runs away a lot, which could be called dodging. Once and a while she'll accidentally poison her opponent.

• Porter the Bulbasaur
Adamant nature, male. Wears a flower print collar and sometimes flowers tucked behind his ears. He endures the pampering, but all he really wants is a good fight. He even has a notch in his left ear from a battle. Porter came from a fancy breeder of show pokemon, but was considered to be a reject, with the nature of a battler, but the stats of anything but. Upon hearing this, Anne Louise made a scene until Porter was given to her, just to stop her fussing.
Ability: Overgrow
Battle Style: Headstrong and without restraint, Porter overestimates his power. He has good resilience, though.

• Lady the Carvanha
Serious nature, female. She is very territorial, which is fortunate because she's usually separated from the others, due to needing water. Anne Louise carries around an inflatable kiddie pool for Lady, who sometimes shares it with Betty.
Ability: Rough Skin
Battle Style: Lady sticks to the plan, easily the most obedient of Anne Louise's Pokemon. Like all carvanha, she's on the frail side, but unmatched at speed in the water.

• Honey the Elekid
Rash nature, female. Honey is irrational and loud. She likes to beat her chest with her fists. Anne Louise found her as an egg, abandoned in a nest. Maybe her mother didn't even want her. Honey doesn't seem to mind. Despite her name, her favorite food is coffee. Don't give it to her, though.
Ability: Static
Battle Style: Honey doesn't seem to be disturbed by pain. She thinks victory lies in hitting as many times and as quickly as possible
